Quantock Outdoor Education Manager
Georgia Way
I am passionate about the outdoors and believe every young person should have the opportunity to learn from and connect with nature. In my role as Manager of Outdoor Education, I strive to create experiences that inspire curiosity, build confidence, and nurture a lifelong appreciation for the natural world.
I’ve always loved the benefits that time outdoors brings, from wellbeing and resilience to teamwork and creativity. Outside of work, I enjoy a wide range of outdoor hobbies, including hiking, kayaking, gardening, foraging, bushcraft, and horse riding – all of which fuel my enthusiasm for sharing the wonder of nature with others.

I worked in a specialist autism unit for 5 years where my passion for supporting young individuals has grown and grown

My passions include taking my dogs, Luna and Star, for enjoyable walks, horseback riding, camping, and delving into the world of literature. I've completed courses in Understanding Dyslexia, Autism, and ADHD as well as achieving the DofE Award which I am very proud of. In the summer, I volunteer in the Kids Field at Glastonbury Festival, where I supervise children as they enjoy trampolines and create memorable experiences.

Being outdoors and spending time with my dogs, Ivy and Gabby are my main passions. Over the weekends, I attend local dog shows including Dawg, St Giles, Secret World and many more where I show off my dog’s command and agility training through multiple tricks such as playing dead, high fives and barking by using hand signals. They have always come home with rosettes, which I am very proud of them for.

With many years of experience as a dedicated Health Care Assistant and a proud parent of three, I’ve spent much of my life supporting others with care, compassion, and patience. Raising my own children has taught me invaluable life skills, which I now bring into my role at QOE. I was excited to take the opportunity to work with young people and help support them as they grow and learn. I enjoy being out and about, staying active, and I'm always keen to take on new challenges and learn new skills.

My first and foremost passion in life is the woods. I always find myself happy and content if I'm next to (or up) a tree. I love walking amongst the trunks, taking in the beauty of the foliage, and admiring the canopy above. The forest, and everything it provides, is my home. In the spare moments I'm not immersed in nature, I enjoy playing music, gardening, swimming, and a good ol' DIY project. I am also active in my small village community, and enjoy spending parts of my free time helping my neighbours.

I have a keen interest in nature and the outdoors which I made the most of when travelling and exploring the culture around Tanzania and Zanzibar. I also love going on walks with my two dogs, and hedge-laying is also a huge passion of mine. I love the way it can improve the natural world, help wildlife, and it is something I try and do as often as possible.

I have always felt my happiest when I’m connected to nature, and is something I strive to continually nourish. I am a qualified Trampolining and Gymnastics coach and feel privileged to watch the growth and development of my gymnasts. Whilst coaching at a local club in Cornwall, I lived in my self-converted campervan and enjoyed exploring the coastline. On my days off you’ll find me on an adventure snapping photos, looking for sea glass at the beach, reading, scrapbooking, or practicing yoga.

Activity Leader & Support Worker

I have played rugby for most of my life and these days I regularly coach younger age groups. I have previously volunteered with scout groups, as well as leading a cadet organisation. I have a big passion for the outdoors, for example, I have completed all levels of DofE and I really enjoy building projects, particularly woodwork which I spend most of my spare time doing.

I have a passion for alternative education and believe that everyone’s educational journey is unique. I have a love for being outdoors. I enjoy walks through forests, along beaches and traveling as much as I can. I always have ideas for rainy day activities such as crafts and caring for animals. I am always up for an adventure and never afraid to try new things. In my spare time I enjoy curling up with a good book, playing board games, and spending time with friends. My peers would describe me as honest, caring and fun.

I love animals and I’m passionate about supporting young people to grow in their own way and at their own pace. I enjoy finding activities that feel comfortable and meaningful, and I like keeping things relaxed so everyone can learn in a way that suits them. I have a degree in Youth and Community Work, and I’m always open to trying new ideas that help build confidence and independence.
When I’m not here, I’m usually reading, spending time with friends, or hanging out with animals. I enjoy simple, calm moments just as much as trying something new, and I’m always happy to learn alongside the young people I work with
